Here is what you need to know in order to get up to speed with today’s happenings.
Departmental Committee on Administration and Internal Security
The Departmental Committee on Administration and Internal Security is today expected to hold a joint sitting with the Senate Standing Committee on National Security and Foreign Relations at County Hall.
The two committees will meet Interior Cabinet Secretary (CS) Kithure Kindiki and Inspector General of Police (IG) Japhet Koome to discuss the deployment of NPS officers to Haiti.
KMTC Strategic Plan
The Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) is today expected to unveil its strategic plan for 2023-2028.
The institution will also launch a historical book dubbed ‘The Journey to Greatness’ and foreign languages such as Arabic, French, and German during the event.
The event will be graced by Health CS Susan Nakhumicha and will be held at the KMTC headquarters in Nairobi from 10 am.
Communist Party of Kenya stages protests
The Communist Party of Kenya is today expected to stage protests in solidarity with Palestine.
The demonstrations dubbed ‘Palestine Solidarity Demonstrations’ are expected to begin from 12 pm to 1 pm.
Protesters will converge at the Big Square area in Gigiri from 11.30 am, they will then proceed to the Embassy of Israel in Gigiri to air their grievances.
State of the Nation Address
President William Ruto is today afternoon expected to hold his first State of the Nation Address at Parliament buildings.
He will address a joint Parliamentary sitting of both the National Assembly and the Senate.
