November 7, 2023: Top news events to look out for today
Here is what you need to know in order to get up to speed with today’s happenings.
National Treasury
The State Department of National Treasury and its Semi-Autonomous Government Agencies (SAGAs) will be meeting today to discuss the supplementary estimates for full-year 2023/24.
The meeting will be held at Continental House.
Martha Koome
Chief Justice Martha Koome, who is also the Chairperson of the National Council on the Administration of Justice (NCAJ), will today preside over the launch of the NCAJ Administration of Justice in Kenya Annual Report (2022-2023).
The event will take place at Safari Park Hotel, Nairobi starting at 9:45 am.
KCSE
Today marks week three of the ongoing Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination.
KCSE began in earnest on October 23, 2023, after rehearsals were held on October 19, 2023.
Candidates were examined in oral practical exams in week one of KCSE. The practical exams included orals for French, German, Arabic, Kenya Sign Language and music.
For week two, candidates were examined in French, German and Arabic (listening, comprehension, dictation and creative writing) and Kenyan Sign Language (receptive skills).
For week three of KCSE beginning yesterday, candidates will write exams for common subjects. Today students will sit for Mathematics Paper One and Paper Two.
