Reactions to Kindiki’s assumption of office

Leaders from across the political divide are expected to voice their reactions to the new deputy president, Abraham Kithure Kindiki’s assumption of office.

While some leaders have been silent about the matter since it was active in court, reactions are expected to continue following its conclusion on Friday, November 1, 2024.

Kindiki becomes the third deputy president under the 2010 constitutional dispensation and the second in President Ruto’s first term.

On Friday, November 1, impeached deputy president Rigathi Gachagua edited out his previous title from his social media handles to simply husband, father and Kenyan.

Weekend football action

The first weekend in the month of November will be lined up with a host of football matches on Saturday, with the first one being an early kick-off match at 1:00 pm between second-place Kariobangi Sharks and Talanta FC who have only won one in their last five matches.

Sofapaka will host Kakamega Homeboyz at 3:00 pm while Gor Mahia will play against 7th-placed Murang’a SEAL at 4:00 pm.

The other football matches in the English Premier League this Saturday will be Newcastle against third-placed Arsenal at 3:30 pm, Liverpool v Brighton at 6:00 pm at Anfield and Manchester City playing away at the Vitality Stadium against Bournemouth at 6:00 pm.
