Former Starehe MP Bishop Margaret Wanjiru has taken a swipe at Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja and Westlands MP Tim Wanyonyi who on Saturday, October 30 announced his entry in the race for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat.

In a tweet on her official Twitter account, Wanjiru claimed that Nairobians have already made up their mind on their candidate of choice for the governor position.

“Keep on holding brief for whosoever. Nairobians know who and what they want. Mbele iko sawa. Chama ni UDA, Rais ni Ruto, Nairobi Governor is Bishop Margaret Wanjiru ukipenda mama na kazi. Stop comparing me to none starters!” Wanjiru said.

Wanjiru further affirmed her candidature, claiming she has been ordained to serve as the next governor of Nairobi county.

“When you finish looking for another candidate hola my number. Nairobi is a done deal in heaven and on earth. If God is for me no one can be against me! In this race we lead, others can follow,” the bishop said.

Her statement comes after MP Wanyonyi declared his interest in Nairobi’s gubernatorial seat come 2022.

Wanyonyi believes after his 15-year service to the people of Westland’s, he has a bigger calling, that of becoming the next Nairobi governor in the upcoming 2022 general elections.

“Ladies and gentlemen, while I have made huge efforts and contributions to uplifting the lives of our people in Westlands Constituency for over 15years, I now have a bigger calling- to become the Governor of Nairobi County in 2022,” Wanyonyi said.
