Nine matches on cards as FKF WPL kicks off

The 2024/25 FKF Women’s Premier League (WPL) season is set to kick off this weekend with six exciting matches across the country, promising thrilling football action as Kenya’s top teams battle for supremacy.

Defending champions Kenya Police Bullets FC will open their title defence against newly promoted KISPED at the Police Sacco Stadium in Nairobi.

KISPED, riding high after their successful promotion campaign, will be eager to prove themselves in their first top-flight match, while Police Bullets aim to continue their dominance.

In Nakuru, Trinity Starlets FC will host Bunyore Starlets at RVIST Grounds, where both teams will be looking to start their season on a high.

Fans in Kisumu can expect double the action at Moi Stadium. On Saturday, October 5, 2024, perennial contenders Vihiga Queens FC face off against Ulinzi Starlets. The following day, Kisumu Allstarlets will make their top-flight debut against Zetech Sparks.

Bungoma Queens FC will welcome Kibera Soccer Women to the National Polytechnic, Bungoma, for what promises to be a fiercely contested match. Down at the coast, Mombasa Olympic FC will take on WADADIA FC at Ronald Ngala Primary School in Mombasa.
