Blackout

Five counties will today be affected by a planned blackout.

According to a statement by Kenya Power, the scheduled blackout will affect, Nairobi, West Pokot, Kisumu, Nyeri and Laikipia counties.

The blackout in Nairobi will affect parts of Parklands including Chemilil Rd, UoN Parklands, and Kipkabus Road, other areas include Mutuini and parts of Kabiria such as Mutuini Primary, Manyatta Rd, and Mutego Village.

The mentioned areas will be affected from 9 am to 5 pm.

West Pokot areas that will be affected from 9 am to 5 pm include parts of Ortum and Sigor which include Sebit, Sina, and Kerelwa.

In Kisumu, the blackout will affect Chiga Hospital, Obumba, Wildor, Chiga Kalusi, Mayiengaand Nyamonge areas from 9 am to 3 pm.

Parts of Nyeri that will be affected from 8 am to 5 pm include; George, Muruguru Booster, and Ndakaini.

The blackout in Laikipia will affect Mukima, KHE, Nyariginu, Mukima Centre and Murungai from 8 am to 5 pm.
