Good Friday

Christians all over the world are observing Good Friday to commemorate the crucifixion of his death and death at Calvary.

The event follows after the Palm Sunday which is held to commemorate Christ’s triumphant entry to Jerusalem while riding on a donkey as indicated in the Old Testament.

Naivasha Rally

Today marks the second day of the 2024 World Rally Championship (WRC) Safari Rally.

The three-day event features an impressive lineup of 29 drivers including top contenders worldwide.

President William Ruto flagged off the event at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC), Nairobi county.

Speaking during the flag off, the Head of State termed the event as a special Easter holiday gift to families and encouraged Kenyans to turn up in numbers to witness and enjoy themselves.

“This is truly a special Easter holiday gift to millions of families to bond over a thrilling spectacle. You really can’t find a rally as tough, compelling, beautiful and rewarding as the one in Kenya,” Ruto said.

The president also appreciated Sports and Youths Cabinet Secretary (CS) Ababu Namwamba and other organisers for materializing the day of the event, he also advocated for more days as requested by the rally drivers.

“Ababu Namwamba and your team, FIA and WRC, I think it is time you consider the request of our rally drivers,” Ruto said.
