Ndindi Nyoro: Ending CDF will burden parents

By , September 22, 2024

Kiharu Member of Parliament (MP) Ndindi Nyoro has come out to explain why ending the National Government-Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF) will create more problems in the country.

This comes after the High Court declared the NG-CDF Act 2015 unconstitutional, and announced that the fund and all its projects, programmes and activities will cease to be functional on June 30, 2026.

Addressing a congregation on Sunday, September 22, 2024, Nyoro noted that ending the program will heavily burden parents with fees and halt school developmental projects.

He went on to state that the program has several benefits including funding school projects and cheaper education for students from all walks of life, therefore the High Court should reconsider the decision.

Nyoro called on Kenyans to pray for the country’s leadership and its citizens.

Tukiombea watoto wetu, tukue tunakumbuka nchi ya Kenya, tunaombea viongozi wetu na nchi yetu kwa sababu nchi yetu ikienda mbele sisi wote tunanufaika; tusikae tu kando kuangalia maneno ya siasa pekee,” he added.
