Nairobi River water has changed colour following a heavy downpour on Wednesday night and a better part of Thursday morning. After months of sunshine, which led to drought, the river has been rejuvenated and is no longer a sluggish mass of murky water.

President Ruto recently set up a taskforce to clean up the river, raising hopes that it will become a recreation attraction again.  the river has been rejuvenated and is no longer a sluggish mass of murky water.
