NACADA picks former NSSF boss Anthony Omerikwa as new CEO

Anthony Omerikwa, the former CEO of the National Social Security Fund (NSSF), has landed a new role at the National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA).
Omerikwa was unveiled as NACADA’s new CEO during a handover ceremony presided over by Board Chairman Stephen Mairori on Wednesday, November 1.
He takes over from John Muteti, who has held the position in an acting capacity since May.
“The Authority has this morning welcomed the new CEO Dr. Anthony Omerikwa who has officially taken over from the immediate Acting CEO Prof. John Muteti,” NACADA said.
“Muteti reverts back to his substantive position of Director, Policy and Planning at the Authority. Karibu sana to the campaign Daktari!” NACADA added.
NACADA changes
At NACADA, Omerikwa takes over from Victor Okioma, who exited the office after serving for a term of five years.
The former NSSF boss left the state agency in November last year after a three-year term.
He will now be in charge of leading NACADA in its core mandate of coordinating public education and awareness campaigns against alcohol, drugs, and substance abuse in the country.
