Motorists have been asked to be vigilant as they travel to attend the President-elect’s  inauguration ceremony.

Narok County Commissioner Isaac Masinde urged drivers on Maai Mahiu/Narok/a highway to be particularly cautious, lamenting that the road has recently claimed many lives, especially at black spots like Ntulele, Duka Moja and Maai Mahiu.

As the chairman of the County Security team, he reiterated that the police would mount checks in several points to ensure all vehicles are in good condition.

“We expect many people from Kisii, Bomet and Narok, who will attend the swearing in ceremony, to use the road,” said Masinde.

He lauded residents for keeping peace during and after the polls. The Narok Pastors’ Forum, led by Bishop Peter Nakola, urged residents to support the elected leaders led by President-elect William Ruto.
