Moi International Airport named best in Africa for its customer experience

Moi International Airport (MIA) in Mombasa has clinched the esteemed Airports Council International (ACI World) Award for the Best Airport by Size and Region in the Under Two Million Passenger Per Year category for Africa.
The prestigious recognition highlights MIA’s steadfast dedication to excellence in customer service, marking a significant milestone in the airport’s journey.
Renowned for its rigorous Departure and Arrival Surveys, the ACI ASQ Awards serve as the gold standard for measuring passenger satisfaction at airports worldwide.

According to Kenya Airport’s Authority (KAA), MIA’s unwavering commitment to enhancing the passenger experience has propelled it to international acclaim, despite the formidable challenges facing the aviation industry.
The airport also claimed the same honour for Africa in both 2021 and 2022. This consistent success underscores MIA’s relentless pursuit of service excellence and its unwavering determination to surpass passenger expectations.
In recognition of this remarkable achievement, Director General of ACI World, Luis Felipe de Oliveira, extended heartfelt congratulations to the Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) for its exemplary performance in airport services.
He commended the dedicated team at Moi International Airport for their tireless efforts in setting a global benchmark for excellence in customer experience.
Henry Ogoye, Acting Managing Director of KAA, expressed profound pride and joy in MIA’s outstanding accomplishment.
