Mih The Publicist signs with Jamaican label

Kenyan music publicist Naomi Mwangi aka Mih The Publicist has been tapped by giant Jamaican record label Sarangetti Music.

Mih has been appointed the label’s publicity director in Kenya, as it embarks on a journey to popularise itself in the country and the greater Eastern African region.

Among her mandate is to scout and sign talent on behalf of the label in the country and region.

“This appointment has come at the right time because the music industry right now requires an economical boost and an opportunity to experience music business at an international level.

We have very talented artistes, but this rarely reflects on their economic status.

It is such an honor to be appointed to hold this position, since for me it’s an opportunity to bring about the change I have always desired—breaking the borders and barriers,” Mih told Spice.

Sarangetti Music will name its first signed artistes in an unveiling event set for December in Nairobi.
