MCA who survived accident thanks God for saving him

Nyamira township ward MCA Duke Oyagi Masira who survived a road accident which claimed the life of Nyamira Leader of Majority Elijah Osiemo yesterday recounted how prayers saved him from the jaws of death.

Speaking from his hospital bed in the Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi where is recapturing from the injuries he suffered, Masira said he owes his survival to God following the prayers he sought through father Lucas Ongesa on Sunday when he attended a fund drive in aid of Ekerubo Catholic Church.

“During the prayers, I felt that there was something wrong with me. I walked to the pulpit and asked Fr Ongesa to pray and bless me. Father did not turn me down but gave in to my request,” he narrated.

“I again walked to the pulpit for the second time, knelt down before the priest   asked him to spray me with the holy water which he did and I strongly feel that this what saved me “he added.

The accident occurred at Maai Mahiu on Monday afternoon on their way from Nyamira to Nairobi where they were going for attend an official function.
