Man, wife and son perish as trailer hits motorcycle

Three members of a family died in an accident after a trailer overturned and crushed them on Rodi Kopany-Sori road in Homa Bay county on Monday night.
The three perished when the truck which was transporting sugarcane from Mabati Mbili area to Sukari Industries in Ndhiwa sub-county crushed the motorcycle they were travelling on.
A man identified as Victor Onjwayo, his wife and son died on the spot. One of their children, however, survived with serious injuries and was rushed to hospital.
Kalanya Kanyango chief Fredrick Onyango blamed the accident on poor condition of the road.
