A magistrate has ordered former Nairobi Provincial Commissioner Davis Chelogoi to appear in court latest tomorrow to answer to charges of conspiracy to defraud a businessman of land valued at Sh1.3 billion.

Milimani Senior Principal Magistrate Dolphina Alego at the same time issued orders for the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Nairobi Hospital to present Chelogoi at Milimani Law Courts for plea taking on or before tomorrow, March 22, 2024.

Last week, the court was denied access to the hospital where it had moved to have Chelogoi take plea in the Sh1.35 billion fraud case.

The magistrate issued the orders following an application by the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) to have the former administrator produced in court to take plea.

The former PC is said to be admitted at the hospital. “It is hereby ordered that the first accused person Chelogoi herein attends court in whatever circumstances as to be advised by his doctor and or if still admitted at the Nairobi Hospital.

“His doctor to present him at Milimani law court for plea taking on or before March 22, 2024,” the magistrate directed.

She ordered that the court orders be served upon the accused or his advocates and the Nairobi Hospital CEO for compliance.
