Leopards reject Gor’s Sh10m offer for Austin, place Sh35m tag on player

Multiple Kenyan Premier League (KPL) champions Gor Mahia have suffered a blow after their arch-rivals AFC Leopards turned down their Sh 10 million offer for highly rated midfielder Austin Odhiambo and said the player was worth not less than Sh 35 million.

The midfielder who has been linked to the reigning league champions for the last two weeks, enjoyed a successful spell at The Den last season and has been tipped as a possible replacement of K’Ogalo’s midfield marshal Kennedy Muguna whose contract at the club is believed to have expired and he is yet to renew it.

“Odhiambo is not on sale even if Gor break the bank. We cant release our best player to our rivals and yet we want to beat them and win the league next season.

We won’t even take the Sh10 million, in fact the player is worth more than Sh 35 million,” Shikanda told People Sport.
