Lands registry official decries staff shortage

Staff shortage at the Thika Lands Registry is to blame for poor services, an official says. 

Outgoing Land Registrar Bernard Leitich said the station currently has 20 staff after a similar number was transferred to other departments in April, in a purge by the Ministry of Lands to curb cormption. 

He was responding to concerns raised by area MP Patrick Wainaina.
