La Rota: I have nothing against Masauti

By , November 19, 2021

Mombasa-based songstress La Rota has rubbished claims that there is bad blood between her and singer Masauti.

The rumour about their alleged beef emerged after the Ipepete hitmaker failed to appear on their collaborative video song Uno.

“Masauti is a great vocalist and one of the top musicians in our country right now, and through our respective managements, we were able to come up with an agreement to do the project and it happened,” she says.

However, she adds that she never read any malice from Masauiti’s camp when he did not appear for the video shoot.

“What our fans should know is that it wasn’t about payment, spite or disagreements. He intended to be on the video, but schedules collided and we went ahead with what we could do at the time.

Musician or artists can’t always be in the same place at the same time. I look forward to many more projects with great artistes in the future, and that includes Masauti for sure,” she told Spice on phone.
