Cabinet Secretary (CS) for Public Service, Performance and Delivery Management Moses Kuria has announced a seven-day roadshow aimed at evaluating state projects.

In a statement on Monday, January 8, the CS said the roadshow, which kicks off tomorrow, will bring together at least 22 ministries.

He made the revelations after a meeting with Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, Musalia Mudavadi, on Monday afternoon.

“We discussed the preparation of the seven-day government roadshow that kicks off tomorrow 9th January,” Kuria stated.

“The roadshow will bring together 22 ministries to enable us to evaluate government programmes and projects in alignment with The Plan, Bottom Up Economic Transformation Agenda, Medium Term Plan and Vision 2030.”

According to the CS, a report generated from the exercise will be presented at the Cabinet Retreat later this month.

CS Kuria had in October last year, while taking over the Public Service docket from Aisha Jumwa following a Cabinet reshuffle, vowed to have a microscopic eye on all projects being done in the country, and also relieve President William Ruto of the task of following up on the progress of government projects.

“I will have a microscopic view on all projects done in this country be it National or County governments. We have no time to waste and everybody must be ready to work extra hard to make sure all these projects are completed on time. No time for laziness. I’ll henceforth relieve the President of the task of following up on the progress of the government’s projects and moving around this country ensuring all is well,” CS Kuria said.

Kuria also promised to re-engineer the National Youth Service (NYS) to lead a great transformation in the agricultural sector, revive manufacturing and incarcerate the culture of patriotism, which he says will be a tool of hope and discipline for youths.

Kuria served in the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry before his redeployment to the Public Service docket on October 4. The trade docket was reassigned to CS Rebecca Miano, who until the Cabinet reshuffle served as CS for the Ministry of East African Community, the ASALs and Regional Development.
