KUCCPS reopens portal for KMTC courses applications

In a statement on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, KUCCPS listed out the step-by-step guide on how to make the application while detailing the deadline for the applications.
“Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has re-opened application for placement to diploma and certificate programmes offered at the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) for the March 2026 intake,” KUCCPS said.
According to KUCCPS, the just-opened reapplication targets KCSE holders who had not been placed at any KMTC, including those who applied in January 2026 but were not placed.
“The application targets Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) holders who have not been placed to KMTC, including those who applied in January 2026 but were not placed,” KUCCPS added.

How to apply
Interested candidates have been advised to visit the KUCCPS website www.kuccps.ac.ke and click on the Students’ Portal in the Menu items.
Afterwards, candidates are advised to then log in to the Students’ Portal and view all the KMTC Programmes.
After a careful review of the programmes offered at KMTC, candidates can then proceed and click the application tab while following the application process outlined in the portal.
While encouraging interested candidates to apply to the Medical training programmes at KMTC, KUCCPS has further announced that the application deadline is on Friday, March 13, 2026.
Meanwhile, KUCCPS has confirmed that available programmes, minimum requirements and KMTC campuses are available on the KUCCPS application portal.
KUCCPS and HELB
Worth noting, Students admitted into KMTC programmes are eligible for funding through the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), provided they are placed via KUCCPS.
While KUCCPS recently called on candidates to submit all applications online, and physical KCSE certificates or result slips are not required, as the system verifies applicants’ qualifications digitally.
At the time, Dr Wahome, who is the KUCCPS CEO, warned against fake social media pages and cyber scams impersonating KUCCPS officials.
“We urge applicants to only use the official KUCCPS website and authorised Huduma Centres for guidance,” he said, adding that DCI has already arrested some culprits involved in impersonation schemes.
