KSSSA National football standings after Day 1 matches

The Kenya Secondary School Sports Association (KSSSA) games kicked off on Sunday in Kisii County, with Musingu and Highway Secondary both securing wins.

Highway Secondary clinched a 1-0 victory over St. Joseph, thanks to a goal from Mohammed Hassan in the 43rd minute. His side held on to pick up maximum points.

Musingu, coached by Brenda Mwinamo, also secured maximum points with a 1-0 win over Machakos School in their opener.

In other matches, Kiringari and Koderobara shared spoils in a thrilling 2-2 draw, with all goals coming in the second half.

Felix Casillas opened the scoring for Koderobara after an hour of play, but Kiringari responded through Randon Ondiko.

Edward Amboka gave the central champions a lead, which Koderobara canceled out in the 90th minute through Laban Odote.

Dr. Aggrey from the coast defeated Takaba Boys 2-1 in their opener.

As it stands, Musingu lead Pool A with three points, while Kiringari and Koderobara are tied with one point each. Machakos School has no points in the pool.

In Pool B, Dr. Aggrey and Highway Secondary each have three points, while Takaba Boys and St. Joseph Kitale have no points.

The matches will continue on Monday with Takaba Boys taking on St. Joseph, and Highway Secondary battling Dr. Aggrey in Pool B. In Pool A, Kiringari will face Musingu Boys, while Machakos School will play against Koderobara.
