KNEC starts registering KCPE, KCSE candidates

The Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) has started registering this year’s candidates.

KNEC chief executive David Njengere said the council will open the portal for institutions to commence uploading the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidates’ data.

“With regard to registration of candidates for the 2023 KCPE and KCSE exams, Knec will open the portal for institutions to commence uploading of candidates’ data from February 1 and to end on March 31,” said Njengere emphasising  on accuracy of registration data.

Njengere also said the information uploaded should be accurate and the relevant accountability documents should be signed.

The 2023 KCPE exam is the last series of exams at primary level under the 8-4-4 system as the country transitions into the Competency Based Curriculum.
