Kisii: Grade four girl arrested after attempting to poison father for questioning her relationship

Police in Kisii are holding a 14-year-old grade four girl who attempted to poison her father for questioning her relationship with a form four boy.

According to police reports, the girl, a pupil at Kegati Primary School in Nyaribari Chache, Kisii County attempted to kill her father by poisoning his porridge.

Earlier the father had confronted the girl over her relationship with a 19-year-old boy who is a student at a nearby secondary school.

The father noted a strange smell in the porridge before eating it. Upon interrogation, the girl confirmed to have poisoned the porridge.
