Kiambu County Assembly Speaker Ndicho vows to sue MCA

By , August 8, 2019

Kiambu County Assembly Speaker Stephen Ndicho has threatened to sue an MCA for alleged defamation unless he apologises.

Last month,  Biashara ward MCA Elijah Njoroge sponsored an impeachment motion against Ndicho but withdrew it in the last minute, citing insufficient grounds.

Njoroge wrote to the Clerk seeking to withdraw the motion, saying he needed more time to add more grounds.

Ndicho, however,  says the MCA only wanted to taint his name.  “The motion was purely a witch hunt,” he told People Daily, adding that he has told his lawyers to ask Njoroge to apologise as he intends to seek damages.
