Kenya records 183 new coronavirus cases

Kenya has reported 183 new cases of coronavirus after 2,061 samples were tested in the past 24 hours, Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe announced on Tuesday.

This now takes the total number of cases in the country to 8,250.

Of the cases, 177 are Kenyans and six are foreigners.

Some 118 are males and 64 are females.

The cases range between age four years and 79 years.

The cases are from Nairobi 100, Machakos 37, Kiambu 14, Mombasa 13, Kajiado 11, Nakuru 5 and Busia 3.

Ninety more patients discharged, taking total recoveries in the country to 2,504.

“On a sad note, we have lost three more patients to the disease. Total fatalities have now risen to 167,” Kagwe said.
