Wiper Patriotic Front (WPF) party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has announced a nationwide call for creatives, with a special appeal to Gen Z talent, to take part in a five-day challenge to design the party’s new logo.

Taking to his official X account on Monday, August 11, 2025, Kalonzo said the competition aims to capture the spirit of patriotism, liberation, and unity while giving the party’s brand a fresh, modern look.

“We’re calling on all creatives, especially our Gen Z talent, to help design the new logo for the Wiper Patriotic Front in a #5daychallenge. The vibe? Patriotism, liberation, and unity. The mission is simple: make it pop, make it meaningful, and make it our front,” Kalonzo stated.

Challenge prize

The winning designer, Kalonzo said, will be rewarded and welcomed into WPF’s growing branding team, while the top three participants will receive special gifts.

“The creative behind the winning design will be rewarded and welcomed into our growing branding team. The top three designers will also receive special gifts,” Kalonzo wrote on X.

The former vice president went ahead to list some of the key details that should be considered in the design, including retaining the party’s umbrella symbol.

“Remember to retain our umbrella as the main symbol in your designs. – The design must include the words ‘Wiper Patriotic Front’. – Must embody patriotism, unity, and resilience. – Must clearly demonstrate the front. – Must incorporate our slogan “Komboa Kenya”. – Should reflect the party colours: Royal Blue (dependability & understanding), White (purity & clarity), and Earth Red (power & life),” Kalonzo stated.

Kalonzo emphasised that the competition is not just about aesthetics but also about telling the WPF story through art.

The submission deadline is midnight on Saturday, August 16, 2025, with entries to be sent to [email protected].

Change of party name

The Wiper Democratic Movement (WDM) changed its party name to WPF ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a special issue of the Gazette Notice dated June 30, 2025, Registrar of Political Parties Ann Nderitu stated that WDM intends to change its name to Wiper Patriotic Front (WPF).

“IN EXERCISE of the power conferred by section 20(1)(a) of the Political Parties Act, the Registrar of Political Parties gives notice that Wiper Democratic Movement (WDM) intends to change its party name to Wiper Patriotic Front (WPF),” the notice read in part.
