Kakamega County govt unveils 5 livestream spots ahead of Raila Odinga’s burial
The county government of Kakamega has announced the establishment of five different public mourning areas in the county ahead of Raila Odinga’s burial this Sunday, October 19, 2025, in Bondo.
In a statement on its Facebook page on Sunday, the county stated that the area’s squares will have live streams of the event from Bondo for the mourners to follow.
Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega Town, Bomani Grounds in Mumias, and the Malava County administration offices are among the designated broadcast spots.
Other additional spots will be at the Sabatia Stage in Butere and a spot next to Matunda Mall in Matunda.
The following comes as the country angles for the final farewell journey of Raila Odinga.
According to a programme released by Interior CS Ray Mond Omollo on Saturday, October 18, 2025, Raila’s send-off will kick off at 9:00 am with a church service at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Science and Technology (JOOUST) grounds.

The military will then take over the ceremony for military procedures associated with a state burial at the Kang’o Ka Jaramogi’s grave site.
The CS indicated that the government was anticipating a busy Sunday in honour of the veteran politician.
Everything is ready
“We will have the final burial ceremony here tomorrow at JOOST grounds. We have everything ready. The body will have an overnight stay at Opoda farm,” he said.
“The service tomorrow will begin at 9:00 am to be conducted by the Anglican Church; thereafter, the military will take over for the final bit of the ceremony, according to the regulations of a state burial,” he stated.

Raila’s remains spent the night at his Opoda Farm, where they arrived on the evening of Saturday, October 18, 2025, after a busy day in Kisumu’s Mamboleo grounds, where the public engaged in a second day of public viewing of their departed son.
