Kajiado: Confusion as UDA ballot papers for different elective positions found stashed together

By , April 16, 2022

Confusion marred UDA supporters who had turned up at various Kitengela and Isinya polling stations after ballot papers arrived while mixed up.

To the chagrin of voters who had waited until noon before they began casting their votes, agitated locals said they think the mixup is an indication that the ballot papers had been tampered with.

Each ballot box contained ballot papers of various elective seats including those of MCA, Women rep, Senator and Governor stashed together forcing agents to manually separate them.

Voters also questioned why some of the ballot boxes were not sealed amid allegations that some of the ballot papers were premarked.

Some people who missed out on their names in the 2017 register are said to have been allowed to vote.

Allegations of people voting more than once were also rife due to the failure of marking to distinguish those who had already voted.
