Immediate former National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale now claims that the Jubilee party is ‘structurally dead’.

At the same time Duale said that the United Democratic Party (UDA) would be the party to watch come 2022 general elections.

“Jubilee is our party and we have realized that it has serious structural problems. The party is sick structurally. Some of the key organs of the party have failed and it’s no longer a secret,” he said.

Addressing the press at his Garissa residence Saturday, Duale said that the Jubilee party with its ‘failures can no longer be used for long distances as we gear up for the 2022 elections’.

The former majority leader said despite the defects, ‘we still command the highest number of members both in the Senate and National Assembly’.

On the just concluded Kiambaa elections in which UDA candidate John Njuguna Wanjiku emerged the winner, Duale said the polls “was just a warm up of the real battle come 2022′.

Wanjiku narrowly beat Jubilee’s Kariri Njama by 21,773 votes against 21,264 in a hotly contested election.

Duale said those claiming the contest was between President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto were misleading the country and being petty.

“We have a plan to form a government next year and our vehicle will be UDA,” Duale said.

He challenged other parties among them ODM, ANC, Wiper to field candidates to face off with UDA.
