JSC announces 108 job vacancies for legal researchers and clerks
By Emmanuel Rono, March 26, 2026The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has announced a massive recruitment drive, inviting qualified legal professionals to apply for 108 vacant positions aimed at strengthening the Kenyan Judiciary.
In a notice on Thursday, March, 26, 2026, the Commission invited qualified candidates to apply for positions ranging from entry-level researchers to senior legal roles.
The recruitment drive is aligned with the JSC’s constitutional mandate under Article 171, aimed at ensuring an efficient and transparent administration of justice.

“The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) is a Constitutional Commission established under Article 171 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010 to promote and facilitate the independence and accountability of the Judiciary and the efficient, effective and transparent administration of justice,” JSC noted.
Breakdown of Open Positions
The recruitment focuses on legal research, a critical component in supporting judges and judicial officers in drafting opinions and analyzing complex legal authorities.
Law Clerk invites one (1) position (Ref: V/No.13/2026), twenty-two (22) positions (Ref: V/No.14/2026) for the Senior Legal Researcher, and Eighty-five (85) positions (Ref: V/No.15/2026) for the Legal Researcher.
Application Requirements and Deadline
Interested applicants are required to submit their applications through the official JSC jobs portal at https://jsc.go.ke/jobs-2/. The Commission emphasized that all applications must be received no later than April 15, 2026, at 5:00 P.M.

The commission noted that it is an Equal Opportunity Employer and selects candidates based on merit through open competition. JSC also issued a warning that recruitment services are free of charge, and any form of canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification.
“Only shortlisted and successful candidates will be contacted. Canvassing in any form will lead to automatic disqualification,” JSC stated.
