Jahmby had also travelled back to the country after spending more than a year in the US receiving treatment for stage four endometriosis.

The reggae entertainer had battled the chronic illness since she was age 13. In 2015, she suffered a series of pneumothoraces (collapsed lungs), one of the most rare manifestations of thoracic endometriosis.

Consequently, Koikai required numerous surgeries and extended hospital stays. Medical treatments available in Kenya were insufficient, prompting her to seek medical care abroad.

A flood of condolence messages has been flooding in, praising Jahmby’s good character and her resilience during her battle with endometriosis.
