I’m filthy rich, MP brags to colleagues in House

By , March 13, 2020

A legislator, who wields power in Parliament on Wednesday, surprised  his colleagues when he started bragging on the floor of the House about his riches.

During debate on a bill seeking to eliminate a requirement that loanees have guarantors, the man opposed the motion, and went on to detail how rich he is that were he to approach a bank for a loan, he would not be asked for a guarantor.

The utterances shocked fellow members as well as journalists at the gallery, who  wondered if laws are made for members or Kenyans.
