Police in Mbita constituency have launched manhunt for a man accused of killing his brother following disagreement over grazing ground.

The suspect is said to have differed with his brother Erick Ooko and a fight ensued before hitting him with a machete, killing him instantly at God Jope sub-location on Wednesday.

Area assistant Chief Fredrick Odero said the duo had previously quarreled over unknown reasons. According to the administrator, the two disagreed on Tuesday before the argument became intense on Wednesday. “I was informed about their fight at home. They would constantly quarrel over unknown reasons,” Odero said, adding that the suspect was the first to go to the grazing field and later joined by the suspect, who accused him of crossing the boundaries to graze at a section where he was not supposed to be. Homa Bay County Police Commander Samson Kinne officers have been dispatched to the scene to investigate the case, adding that the search for the suspect is ongoing.
