Highway Secondary School has made history by becoming the new National Champion after clinching a thrilling 3-2 victory in a penalty shootout against Musingu at Gusii Stadium.

The match ended in a 1-1 draw after regular time, thanks to early goals from both teams.

Highway secondary equalizer

Elvis Ochieng opened the scoring for Highway just 14 minutes into the game with a close-range effort, giving them a 1-0 lead.

However, Musingu quickly equalized five minutes later when Alvin Oloo unleashed a stunning long-range shot.

Despite being reduced to ten men after a red card, Highway held firm, forcing the match into a tense penalty shootout.

In the shootouts, Kevin Manane missed Musingu’s first penalty, while Frederick Oyango’s attempt was saved by Highway’s goalkeeper. Musingu’s Stanley and Harry Amalemba both found the back of the net, but it wasn’t enough. Highway’s Humphrey Aroko, Luis Ochieng, and Tony Ochieng all scored, giving them the advantage.
