Gor Mahia Youth face Narok University Students Association in Governor Tunai Cup curtain raiser

By , December 17, 2021

Gor Mahia Youth will face Narok University Students Association (Nasu) in the curtain raiser of this year’s Governor Tunai’s Cup final at the Ole Ntimama Stadium in Narok on Saturday.

This will be a repeat of a previous match played at the same venue where the senior Gor team faced the local side and reigned supreme.

Meanwhile, Total Spurs from Narok North and Sikawa of Trans Mara West stormed the semi-finals at Narok Boys High School.

Spurs hit Naisoya from Narok West 3-0 in the first quarter final with goals coming from Kool Kuseo, Mohamed Barisa and Aguero Simon while Sikawa overcame Medongi FC of Narok North 4-3 on penalties following a barren draw in regulation time. Two more Quarter finals are currently ongoing at the same venue.

The finals to be played at the William Ole Ntimama stadium at 2pm will be preceded by the ladies final at 9am and a curtain raiser pitting Gor Mahia youth against Narok University students association FC at 12pm.

The tourney is sponsored by the Narok county Governor Samuel Ole Tunai and the winners will walk away with Sh500,000.
