It was a day of high scores in the Football Kenya federation (FKF) National Super League yesterday as two matches produced 10 goals.

In Muranga, hosts Muranga Seal thumped visitors Coastal Heroes 4-1 in a one sided match that could have seen the hosts score more goals.

Veteran player Francis Ochola opened the scores for the home team in the 6th minute, before Abou Travre added the tally in the 35th minute for a deserved 2-0 lead for the home side at half-time.

In the second half, former Gor Mahia winger John Kiplangat made it 3-0 for Seal, before Abdulrahman pulled one back for the visitors in the 51st minute. Henry Omollo sealed the victory for Seal with a 89th minute strike to give the home side a deserved maximum points from the fixture.

In another match, SS Asad also emulated Seal’s home performance with a similar 4-1 scoreline in their win over a visiting Mara Sugar. John Ebong opened the scores for the victors in the seventh minute, before Beja Nyamawi added the tally in the 30th minute, but Fred Nyakundi pulled one for Mara Sugar in the 41st minute for a 2-1 half time score.

On resumption to the second half, Ali Juma made it 3-1 for SS Asad with a 62nd minute strike, before Beja Nyamawi completed his brace with an injury time strike to make it 4-1. The visitors finished the match with 10-men after Drona Openda was sent off for a second yellow card.

In Kajiado, visitors Naivas stunned hosts Kajiado FC 2-0 in a thrilling encounter that had initially threatened to go either way. John Kelwish opened the scores in the 20th minute with a solo effort, before Brian Ouru added the second in the 53rd minute.

Meanwhile, Darajani Gogo caused the biggest upset of the weekend after a 2-0 win over rivals and league favourites Kibera Black Stars FC at Camp Toyoyo during the slum-derby on Saturday.

Goals by Rashid Moyo in the 10th minute and Joseph Odongo in the 93rd minute were enough to push them to sixth on the log with 18 points. The newcomers dominated their more experienced neighbors for large chunks of the game and were duly awarded with well worked out goals. Black Stars however are third on the table now with 23 points off 12 matches played with a goal difference of +10.
