Goal machine Olunga sets Asian club league alight

Harambee Stars forward Michael Olunga’s exploits at his new Club Al Duhail SC continued after adding to his tally and to reach 11 goals following a brace against Esteghlal in the Asian Championship League at the weekend.
The 2-2 draw with Esteghlal means Olunga, 27, is currently the top scorer in the Asian Champions League with six goals as his good form in the Middle East continues.
The former Kashiwa Reysol attacker had his first goal in the dying minutes of first half through a penalty and the second in the 58th minute of the game to underscore his prowess in his debut season for the Qatari giants.
Elsewhere another Kenyan international Johanna Omollo played a huge role in BB Erzurumspor’s 3-2 win over Gaziantep in the Turkish Super Lig.
Despite winning three straight matches in a row, BB Erzurumspor are still rooted at 18th in the standings with 37 points off 36 matches even as they seek to escape relegation.
In Sweden, Harambee Stars dependable left back Eric Ouma played full minutes for AIK as they beat local rivals Hammarby IF 2-0 in a derby.
AIK are now fifth in the Allsvenskan second tier standings with six points. Ouma so far has one assist this season with rumours flying that Italian Serie A side Atalanta FC are keen on his signature.
In the US, Harambee Stars Captain Victor Wanyama met Kenyan prodigy Handwalla Bwana as their sides Montreal Impact CF and Nashville TN played out a 2-2 stalemate in a Major League Soccer tie.
Closer home, Joash Onyango of Tanzanian giants Simba Sports Club played full minutes in the Vodacom Super League match against Gwambina FC. Simba won the match 1-0. They now lead the top tier standings with three matches in hand.
In Zambia, three Kenyan internationals Ian Otieno and Jesse Were of Zesco United FC and Duncan Otieno of Lusaka Dynamos FC met in the final of the ABSA CUP with Dynamos winning 1-3 on post match penalties.
