After a midweek flop at the hands of Thika Queens in the Football Kenya Federation Women Premier League (FKF-WPL), Gaspo Women have dared Zetech Sparks whom they shall meet on Sunday.

Gaspo have been revitalised in the opening two matches to the season under Coach Domitila Wangui Amani, winning both matches and scoring 11 goals and conceding none.

Unfortunately, they cracked in their third attempt, losing 3-0 to defending champions Thika Queens 3-0 on Wednesday.

After the loss, coach Tila rued the manner in which her charges succumbed to Thika Queens at the Thika Sub-County Stadium.

Tila said there was an element of losing focus by her players, adding that they have reserved the energy to beat Zetech in a match set for GEMS Cambridge on Ngong’ Road.

“We lost our heads almost throughout the match and common sense dictates that there is no room for another error, We  must win our next match. We must beat Zetech Sparks,” Gaspo Women coach Domitila Wangui  Amani said.

On the other hand, Zetech lost in the midweek meeting which belied their performance the previous week when they dispatched Kisumu All Starlets 6-2. But Zetech coach Bernard Kitolo has remained optimistic ahead of the potential nail-biting clash.

My players have been telling me they don’t know what happened in that game against Kayole but I told them to put that setback behind them.

Remember, it’s not advisable to cry over spilt milk and we need to focus on the remaining fixtures,” said Kitolo.

Meanwhile, three-time back-to-back league champions Vihiga Queens will be seeking to maintain their perfect run in the league and win their fourth straight victory when they host rejuvenated Kisumu All-Starlets at Mumias Sports Complex.

Starlets helped themselves to a 6-0 win over debutantes Kangemi Starlets on Tuesday after losing their opening two matches, and are tipped to give the Legacy Makers a run for their money.
