Gachagua donates Ksh500K to St Charles Lwanga for lunch
Students at St. Charles Lwanga in Kitui county were left elated after Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua donated Ksh500,000.
While addressing the students, Gachagua stated that he was handing the donation to the school head for the student’s lunch.
“Si mkikula chapati ni sawa, na soda.” he said.
He also pledged to invest in the school to enhance development and create a conducive learning environment for the students. The DP also vowed to buy a new school bus for the students
“Mimi sijawahi sikia viongozi wenu wamenunua school bus, sasa naona Scania itaweza,” he said.
Another donation
The donation came barely two weeks after he offered students at Limuru Girls School in Kiambu Ksh1 million to throw a party.
Speaking during the celebration of the school’s 100 years of excellence Gachagua who had accompanied his boss President William Ruto stated that he was handing the money to the school’s principal for the students to celebrate.
“Your excellency hii mambo ya bahasha ya hii wasichana wacha mimi nipange ndio wakule hiyo chapati. Hiyo kuku, soda nini. Mnapenda soda? Which one do you like? Wa Fanta ni wangapi? Wa Coca Cola ni wangapi?” the DP posed.
“Wacha mimi nitafte one million niwachie principal ya bash ya hawa warembo so that it is important your excellencies who are here for these girls to know that Uncle Willy was around,” he added.
