Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua this morning embarked on another trek to the foot of Mt Kenya. On a third day running, the Deputy President held prayers for President William Ruto’s administration.

“Mwene Nyaga has heard my prayers, our prayers. The Mountain is calm. Mlima iko sawa. Kenya is on the right path. Mapema ndio best,” Gachagua tweeted.

Gachagua who is in Nanyuki for the cabinet retreat has been praying to ‘Mwene Nyaga’ while facing the mythical mountain.

The second-in-command has been imploring ‘Mwene Nyaga’ to give good health and wisdom to President William Ruto as he embarks on the economic transformation of the nation and the restoration of the dignity of the Kenyan people.

Gachagua has for the past two days trekked Mt Kenya and held prayers for President William Ruto’s administration while facing the mountain.

“They say the third time is a charm. Another morning, another chance to connect with nature. Another chance for introspection. Another chance to centre myself in appreciation of the task ahead of us in nation building,” he tweeted.

The second-in-command, who was flanked by Nyandarua Senator John Methu and Kiambu Senator Karungo Thangwa, said they held talks about the expectations of Kenyans on elected leaders.

Gachagua exuded confidence that the Kenya Kwanza administration will deliver on its campaign promises. He added that senior politicians in Ruto’s government are committed to mentoring youthful leaders to follow their footprints.

“As the sun rises every morning behind Mt Kenya’s Batian Peak, and sets at the end of the day, the President William Ruto Administration will deliver on its promises to Kenya. We can only do this by mentoring our youthful leaders who share the same passion and zeal,” Gachagua added.
