A Veteran political figure

Konchellah was a prominent political figure in Narok County and served as a Member of Parliament for Kilgoris Constituency, where he built a reputation as an influential leader within the Maa community.

He served as Kilgoris MP for several terms, between 2003 and 2022, under various parties, including the Party of National Unity (PNU), the United Republican Party (URP), and the Jubilee Party.

Konchellah also served as Minister for Immigration and Registration of Persons in the late former President Mwai Kibaki’s administration between 2006 and 2007.

Konchellah stepped down from the Kilgoris parliamentary seat ahead of the 2022 general elections to launch an unsuccessful bid for the Narok County senatorial seat.
