Family and friends hold holy mass for Beryl Achieng Odinga in Kileleshwa
By Kenneth Mwenda, November 30, 2025The Odinga family and friends held a church service and Holy Mass on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at House No. 5, Mwingi Villas on Mwingi Road in Kileleshwa, Nairobi, in memory of the late Beryl Achieng Odinga.
The event drew relatives, friends, and supporters who came to pay their respects and celebrate her life.
The gathering was attended by family members, friends, and supporters who came to honour Beryl, the younger sister of the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga. Kisumu Woman Representative Ruth Odinga shared details of the service on her official Facebook page, describing it as an evening of prayer, remembrance, and support for the family.
“In loving memory of Beryl A. Odinga. Holy Mass & Mini Fundraiser, Sunday, 30th of November 2025, House No. 5, Mwingi Villas, Mwingi Road, Kileleshwa, 4 p.m. Join us for an evening of prayer, remembrance, and support as we honour the life and legacy of Beryl Achieng Odinga,” the post read.

During the Mass, attendees observed prayers and scripture readings. Several guests highlighted her role as a mother and sister, noting the support she offered.
Family appeals for support
Beryl Achieng Odinga passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Jaramogi Oginga Odinga, Kenya’s first vice president, and Mary Ajuma Oginga.
Beryl was a devoted mother to three children: Ami, Auma, and Chizi. Her death came weeks after the nation mourned the passing of her brother, Raila Odinga.
The family has called on Kenyans of goodwill to support funeral arrangements.
