Expect KCSE exam results this month – Machogu says

By , January 4, 2023

Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu has said the Kenya National Examinations Council is set to release the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exam results before by the end of the month.

He lauded stakeholders for ensuring the exam was devoid of irregularities and urged them to make a concerted effort to boost education standards and performance in national exams.

The CS spoke to the media after a meeting with secondary school principals from Kisii and Nyamira counties to deliberate on education in the Gusii community.

“We have agreed with the principals, parents and board of managements on ways to improve education standard in the community and performance in national examinations,” Machogu told the press in Keroka town.

He deplored the decreasing number of students joining universities from the community compared to other communities, adding he will work closely with community members to boost it.

The CS urged parents to take their children and support them to compete with others from other areas and join universities to bring honour and respect to their parents and contribute to the country’s economic growth and development.

Machogu commended KCPE candidates for good performance, emphasizing the government would allocate more funds to Junior Secondary schools—Grades 7, 8 and 9—domiciled in primary schools to boost education standards.
