Ex-student leader gets top ministry job

Former University of Nairobi Student leader Zachary Kinuthia has been appointed as Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) for Education by President Uhuru Kenyatta on January 14.

Zack Kinuthia as he is commonly known is a notable figure on social media circles.

Kinuthia was appointed to the position alongside Mumina Bonaya.

Kinuthia is an alma mater of the University of Nairobi where he was a faculty leader in the students’ leadership of the institution.

At UoN, Kinuthia successfully vied for the chairmanship of the much-coveted student leadership.

Politically, Kinuthia is a major supporter of President Kenyatta as seen in his social media posts.

Kinuthia is among young Kenyans the President appointed into senior government position in his recent cabinet reshuffle.
