Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Director of Communications Philip Etale shared a positive encounter with Kiharu Constituency Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro, describing him as humble and friendly.

Etale recounted the meeting at Parliament Buildings, where he had gone to visit a friend. He noted that Nyoro was happy to see him and greeted him jovially, referencing a previous tweet by Etale about Kiharu.

"I chanced upon this gentleman at Parliament Buildings where I had gone to see an MP friend of mine. He was happy and greeted me jovially. Him: Etale, I saw your tweet some time ago talking about Kiharu and what impressed you there. Me: Yea, the young men I met were speaking highly about you and I took that as a sign of good work. Him: You should visit Kiharu more and more times. Me: Thanks bro… He looked humble and friendly. Thank you, Hon. Ndindi Nyoro," Etale shared on his social media.

Despite being on opposite sides politically, with Nyoro being a member of the ruling United Democratic Alliance (UDA) and Etale part of ODM led by Raila Odinga, the interaction was cordial.

Nyoro prominence

Ndindi Nyoro holds a prominent and often controversial position in Kenya's political landscape. He gained prominence through his criticism of ODM leader Raila and later as a staunch supporter of William Ruto's successful 2022 presidential bid.

Nyoro is currently the Chairman of the Budget and Appropriations Committee in the National Assembly and is rated among the best-performing Members of Parliament in Kenya.
