Embu family in agony after twins disappear
By KNA, July 14, 2022A family in Embu Town is in agony following the disappearance of their twin boys on Tuesday as they prepared to report back to school.
Their mother Naisera Muthoni says the 15-year-old identical twins, Leon Macharia and Ryan Mwenda, vanished at mid-day.
Macharia is a student at Moi High School Mbiruri while Mwenda is at Kangaru Boys High School.
Muthoni, a teacher at Nyangwa Boys High School, said they had spent the morning preparing to report back to school and nothing seemed amiss about her sons.
She said the boys have had no discipline issues and the only problem they had was being admitted to different secondary schools.
“They keep asking why we sent them to different schools,” she said.
Muthoni said the only information she has is from a boda boda operator who told her the boys boarded a motorbike and asked to be dropped at the terminus for Nairobi-bound matatus in Embu Town.
