Embakasi land shareholders cry foul over title deeds ‘bias’
Members of Embakasi Ranching Company have faulted the process of issuing title deeds for parcels of land.
The shareholders have appealed to President William Ruto to order investigations into activities of the land buying company, saying the titles he issued recently benefitted newcomers and left out original landowners.
Speaking to journalists in Kiambu town, the aggrieved members said they had waited for the ownership documents for over 25 years.
Geoffrey Kinuthia, a shareholder, said the those who recieved titles from the President had bought plots there while the majority of old land owners were left out. “Many of the original shareholders have died waiting to get title deeds. We ask our President and his Deputy Rigathi Gachagua to respond to their plight and ensure justice prevails,” he said.
