Two Congolese nationals said to have falsely obtained over Sh28 million pretending they had sold and shipped gold were yesterday charged in Nairobi.

Mathieu Bayindu Patsamu and Marceline Wa Nyanguangi Bruce, jointly with others not before court are accused of giving false information that they had shipped 175 kilogrammes of gold to Tophead Vision Com-pany in South Korea.

They allegedly committed the offence on diverse dates between January 8 and April 5 in Nairobi.

According to the charge sheet, the duo conspired to defraud the company based in Seoul, Korea. They appeared before Chief Magistrate Lucas Onyina and denied the charges. They are remanded at Capitol Hill Police Station.
