DP Ruto mourns his Chief of Staff Ken Osinde

Deputy President William Ruto has mourned his Chief of Staff Ken Osinde, who passed on today while receiving treatment at Nairobi Hospital.
In his condolences message, DP Ruto said he had lost one of its key officers who was a good leader with a robust management and problem-solving skills.
“My office has lost one of its key officers. Ambassador Ken Nyauncho Osinde was a good leader with robust management and problem-solving skills,” Ruto tweeted.
DP Ruto further termed Osinde as a hard-working, diligent and master of human resources during his tenure in his office.
“As our Chief of Staff, he was hard-working, diligent, broad thinker and a master of human resources and his wise counsel and team spirit shall be missed, my heartfelt thoughts and prayers to the family, colleagues and friends. Rest in Peace, my friend, Ken,” Ruto said.
Osinde, who was born in 1962, is said to have fallen I’ll in the past few months with an undisclosed illness.
“Ken was stressed in the past few months, but we did not understand what the problem was,” one of his colleagues said.
Osinde started working at Harambee Annex in 2016 as the Chief of Staff, where he acted as a mediator of issues before they reached the DP.
He had been a long-serving lecturer at the University of Nairobi, where he pioneered research and published on Sheng’ and youth languages.
He also worked as a manager at the National Bank of Kenya, where he rose to the position of Head of Strategic Planning.
Osinde also worked in the insurance industry as CEO and Director of the College of Insurance.
He was the Ambassador of Kenya to Germany in 2010 and took part in the inauguration of the first direct flight from Mombasa to Berlin, Germany.
